Airlines’ Mobile Application
In the airlines marketing, most
airlines have made airlines app (Airlines mobile applications) that permit
their customers to book flights, check-in, and get notifications on gate
changes and flight delays, etc. But some of the apps' functions go above and
beyond these basic functions, as part of airlines' sales strategy to attract
new flyers who prefer to book their flights digitally.
Airlines’ mobile application is
an online sales tool is known as a direct-to-customer (D2C). Through mobile Apps, airlines
sell their services under their brand directly to the last customer, by
situating themselves in a world market.
Difference Between Channel Sales and Direct Sales
In channel sales, there is a
third party involved in selling the airline’s services (tickets) to the final
consumer. The third party may be another airline under contract, an air travel
agent, an IATA accredited agent, etc.
Direct sales, involves the airline
selling its services directly to the consumer through its ticket sales offices,
airline’s website, or airlines’ mobile application.
Why Use the Airlines app?
To meet growing customer
expectations, airlines are refocusing the customer experience around mobile
apps. Some airlines have developed their
online direct sales capability (through airlines app) for their services such
as booking, check-in and ancillary services, etc.
By airlines app, it is easy for
airlines to serve their customers by creating individual experiences for each
one of them, which in turn, maximizes the profit and increases customer loyalty.
Furthermore, airlines will have
full control of their services range, their deals system, and their message,
and they can adjust their services to their customers in like manner.
Turkish Airlines App
Turkish Airlines customers can
use the Turkish Airlines App
which is supported by the most used languages in the world. Turkish Airlines
Services are available through the Turkish Airlines application in seven
languages: Turkish, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Russian.
The first step is to download the
Turkish Airlines app, and then create a registered user profile by entering
your personal information (optional) such as name, email address, user IDs,

After that, you can easily access
Turkish Airlines’ services, campaigns, and announcements. For example, if you
are traveling by Business Class you can complete all travel processes such as
purchasing a ticket, seat selection, creating a mobile boarding pass, or
checking in for free.

I downloaded the Turkish Airlines
app to my mobile, and the first thing the app asked me to tell was my actual
